It doesn't matter if you use a 2/5 or 5/5 duplicate, HOWEVER, if your current gem is 2/5, and you use a 5/5 or 4/5 or 3/5 to upgrade your 2/5 gem, your 2/5 gem will become whichever level you used to upgrade: I've included a chart that I made to help you understand how many duplicates you need. On top of needing gem power to upgrade gems, you also need duplicates of that gem. So, if I spent 50 gem power to level my Phoenix Ashes up to level 2, and then I decided I wanted to use that gem as gem power, I would receive 82 gem power from that level 2 Phoenix Ashes:ģ2 Gem Power + 50 Gem Power = 82 Gem Power You get ALL of your gem power back that you spent on upgrading that gem. Melting Legendary Gems Will Give You Different Amounts of Gem Power Based on What Level They Are: Here is a list of gem power you would receive for each level of legendary 5 star gem.īoth of these gems are level 1, however, you can see that one of them is 2/5 and one of them is 3/5, but they both still give the same amount of gem power if you were to melt them. If you melt it at the "Jeweler" you will receive the same amount of gem power (as you can see in the picture labeled "A" ) however, it does increase based on what LEVEL the gem is. It doesn't matter if your 5 star gem is 2/5, 3/5, 4/5 or 5/5. You get gem power from destroying other legendary gems with through the "Jeweler" You can also purchase gem power from some bundles in the shop. In order to level up legendary gems, you need two things. We may cover 2 and 1 star gems in the future. This guide will only be discussing 5 Star Legendary Gems. Hopefully this information will be useful to you. Leveling up Legendary Gems in Diablo Immortal is NO easy task.
